Games I'd Like to See on the Wii U

To be perfectly honest, that last post about the Wii U was definitely sub-par on my part. I felt the need to get a post out, so I rushed it. For that I apologize (though I do think the Wii U could very well be a stopgap). Today I have another Wii U-related post that I think will be fun. I'm gonna throw out some game ideas (probably most if not all related to a existing series) that I would love to play on the Wii U. I don't know how many I'll do, but enjoy nonetheless.
Behold, the backside of the Wii U! (kinda random, I know)
Command & Conquer
If there is one thing I really have strong liking to in the gaming world that isn't Nintendo related (and that's not MineCraft), its the PC RTS (real-time strategy) series Command & Conquer. The first C&C game was a spiritual sequel to what's considered the granddaddy of all RTS games, Dune II, and the next game started a subseries, called Red Alert, which has arguably better name recognition than C&C itself. The only game in the series to ever grace a Nintendo console was a graphically-enhanced port of the first Command & Conquer in 1999 on the Nintendo 64. While most RTS enthusiasts agree the C&C series has the best controls for an RTS on a home console, you really can't enjoy the genre fully unless you play it on a PC. For example, I played the Xbox 360 version of Command & Conquer 3 once, and the controls were atrocious compared to the PC version. The Wii U could change that. Well, so could've the DS and the original Wii. But the Wii U is my next option, so I'll go with that. The tablet controller is the perfect tool to command your army of Mammoth Tanks and Ocra Helicopters with percision and ease. The controls will be the same as on the computer. Tap a unit to select just that one. Tap and drag to select multiple units. I'd buy it on the Wii U in a heartbeat. Even more good news is that the next game coming out in the series, Command & Conquer: Generals 2, will be running EA's Frostbite 2 engine, which has confirmed Wii U support. We'll have to wait until next year to play the game on any platform, however. But I think this is probably the best chance of seeing both a truly excellent C&C on a home console and a C&C on a Nintendo console. The idea of playing that army-building and economy-raising warfest on my console with awesome controls gets me excited.

Angry Birds
Since the revelation that the 3DS will be getting Rovio's ultra-popular game Angry Birds, along with a quote that they want to get Angry Birds on "all the screens", the Wii U will definitely be a part of that. You can aim one of your birds on the touch screen and watch it fly on your TV. I personally wouldn't play it that much, but considering how much Angry Birds has now been ingrained in our culture, it definitely couldn't hurt the Wii U.

Ace Attorney
Unlike my previous two suggestions, the Ace Attorney games are part of series that was born and for the most part has lived on Nintendo consoles. Originally appearing for three games on the Game Boy Advance in Japan (which were ported to the DS and released internationally), the AA games are a very story-heavy adventure where you seek the truth in a string of crimes (almost always murders) no matter how hard the odds are against you. The first three games were ported to the Wii as downloadable titles, and while it did alright emulation of the DS's touch screen, the Wii U would be better. And I don't want to see ports or remakes. I want to see new games in the series. Ace Attorney Investigations 2 seems to be staying only in Japan due to its release so late in the DS's lifetime, so I guess I would be okay with a port/remake of that on Wii U, but that's the exception. Cross-examining witnesses and yelling "Objection!" in HD would be a real awesome time.

Scribblenauts
The first Scribblenauts game is probably one of the funnest games I have ever played. The second one, titled Super Scribblenauts, even more so. In Scribblenauts, you could write almost every non-vulgar/copywritten noun imaginable, and it would show up. Super Scribblenauts added some nouns developer 5th Cell missed in the first one, along with letting you use adjectives to your words. That usually fierce T-Rex became tame enough to ride if you wrote 'friendly' before its name. You use these words in order to acquire star-like items called Starites (or you could just mess around on the title screen, like me). The most recent game has been a version on iOS called Scribblenauts Remix that has similar mechanics as Super Scribblenauts. How would it be on the Wii U? It'd be awesome. Write (or type) down words to create whatever you imagine, and watch it show up on the big screen. It would be without a doubt a downloadable title instead of a full release, and its presence would definitely boost the Wii U.

Pokémon Trading Card Game
One if the most recent developments for the Wii U has been the support of NFC (Near Field Communication) by its controller. If you want a detailed explanation of the technology, along with some of my ideas for it, check out my post here. One of my ideas for that was something related to the Pokémon Trading Card Game. I think Nintendo could make a game on the Wii U that used NFC to simulate trading card battles. Every game would come with a starter deck, and the kiddies could go out and buy packs that have some Wii U marking to add some personal flair to their deck. You would scan your new cards, and since NFC chips are rewritable, Nintendo could keep people from sharing cards, that way your whole group of friends won't have the same level 100 Lugia card on all your decks. They could also do this for the Yu-Gi-Oh! series, which is even more focused on the trading cards. Friend can't come over to play? Beat him and his cards into submission over the internet, with live voice/video chat through the controller. No internet or friends? Play the story mode. I definitely wouldn't get this game myself, but it would be awesome for the younger people.

There's all the ideas I have right now, but if you have any cool ideas in your head, feel free and comment about it (Because, let's be honest, nobody has left a comment on here yet. C'mon, you just need a Google Account, and I really want to know what you readers think!). Hopefully I can stop getting writers' block when I try to come up with an idea for a new post... Though I do have one idea that might be workable. Until then, stay cool, Nintendo fans.
